Snooker is also increasingly popular in Thailand, following the success of James Wattana, a former world number three, who helped raise the profile of the sport in Thailand and the rest of Asia. There have been several other Thai players who have competed on the main tour including Supoj Saenla and Thepchaiya Un-Nooh, although they have yet to emulate the acievements of Wattana. Currently Issara Kachaiwong, Thanawat Thirapongpaiboon and Noppon Saengkham are competing on the main tour along with Wattana.
